With the explosion of affiliate marketing, I’ve noticed a
lot of confusion among new online marketers about product
‘resale rights.’ Today I’d like to clear up some of that
confusion and offer several tips on how to be successful
utilizing ‘Private Label Rights’ (PLR).
First off, PLR is not the same thing as ‘resale rights.’
When you purchase a product with ‘resale rights,’ you solely
ear the authority to sell or (resell) that specific product
to others – usually at a predetermined price. In contrast,
when you purchase a product with PLR, you obtain the right
to not only sell that specific product, but also to modify
it and resell the rights to the content.
Now, that might still sound confusing to some, so let me
give you an example. Let’s say you purchase PLR for an
ebook. You can now revise the cover, modify some links,
modify some content and resell the ebook. Additionally, you
can also provide ‘resale rights’ to that product so that
others can sell or (resell) it.
Imagine providing your information with imbedded links to
your website, etc. It’s an incredibly fast and proven way to
go viral.

Because PLR products may be edited, they are typically an
attractive marketing solution for online marketers. One
($15) PLR ebook could be broken into several articles making
the cost to obtain the ebook financially sound (…considering
most ghostwritten articles run $10-$30 each.)
On the flip side, if you obtain the PLR of several articles,
you could combine them into a master ebook and sell it on
ClickBank or eBay. Post the first paragraph in an
auto-responder series and link your prospects to the maste
ebook located for sale on your website. The ideas on how to
use PLR are endless.
Here are a few tips I put together on how to make money with
Private Label Rights (PLR):
1. Create PLR articles that will be posted on your website.
Provide your signature or resource box on all PLR articles
and then publish them on your website. Allow visitors to
‘republish’ your articles if they include your ‘resource
ox’ with the published article. (…this will provide ‘link
popularity’ with a well written resource box.)
2. Create PLR articles that will be submitted as ezine
articles.
Provide your signature or resource box on all PLR articles
and then publish them in your ‘ezine’. Indicate that you
articles may only be republished if your subscribers include
your ‘resource box’ with the published article. (…again this
will provide ‘link popularity’ and improve your ‘pagerank’
with a well written resource box.)
3. Combine PLR articles into new articles and submit them to
article directories.
Again, be sure to provide your signature or resource box on
all PLR articles before you submit them to the article
directories. Spin your articles (…automated rewrite) to
increase your published presence and ultimately your ‘link
popularity’.
4. Combine PLR articles into a master ebook and give it away
for free
Provide a cover design and include yourself as the author.
This will increase your perceived value and encourage
prospects to purchase from you. (…be sure to ask you
visitors for their email address first to grow your opt-in
list.)
5. Combine PLR articles into new articles and promote
various products.
Provide your signature or resource box with a link to an
affiliate website. (…make sure the article content aligns
with the affiliate service or product you are promoting.)
6. Combine PLR articles into a master ebook and sell the
esale rights
Provide a cover design and include yourself as the author.
Sell resale rights of the ebook to prospects and encourage
them to earn income selling your ebook. (…it’s best to
provide a required minimum and maximum resale price.)
Using these PLR tips will increase your ‘link popularity,’
drive more traffic to your website and ultimately increase
your sales.
But no matter how good these strategies works, I still hea
concerns about the over-saturation of PLR articles. My
advice – don’t worry about that. Almost all PLR packages are
estricted in some way that only allows a certain number of
uyers to purchase. It’s very doubtful that your material is
going to show up 3 million times over and over in Google.
